A design for the Egyptian Opera House's VIP wing, built around a sense of occasion. Deep red walls and patterned carpet run the length of the corridor, framed in dark wood, while a gallery of portraits lines the walk to the private rooms. The palette and materials were chosen to feel theatrical without losing the warmth of a lounge — a space guests pass through on the way to the show, and one worth pausing in.
A grand piano and a pair of zebra-print armchairs anchor the lounge, set against a full-height marble slab and a framed portrait, with a travertine-based console table completing the composition.
A gallery of framed portraits lines the corridor to the private rooms, set against deep red walls and dark timber doors, giving the walk to the lounge its own sense of drama.
