This family home was their forever home. The client's keyword was cozy, so that's what we did. Providing them with all the amenities they would need for this permanent home, we made sure each space was comfortable and cozy. The challenge in this project was all the existing furniture and memorabilia the client wanted to integrate into the design — we tried to feature those in a way that was modern, but still spoke to them as their valuable, cherished pieces all around the house.
The master bedroom layout was completely redesigned, the bathroom repositioned, to utilize the space efficiently and provide the luxury of a dressing room, a living area, and a master bathroom overlooking the bedroom. The bathroom features a his-and-hers sink, a separate shower and bathtub, with a window and rolling curtains for privacy when needed.
The children's bedrooms were meticulously personalized for their taste, hobbies, and interests, while taking continuity and timeless design into consideration. A custom desk was designed for the boy to play and produce music, while the girl has a feature wall to include all of her memories and friends. Special focus was given to storage solutions throughout the house, so it would stay cozy and fresh for years to come.
This floor featured a living space, an outdoor terrace with a jacuzzi, and an indoor bar/kitchenette, making it a perfect space for entertaining in complete separation from the other floors. We also created an office space with folding doors and curtains to provide flexibility and privacy when needed.
